House Rules

1. Absolutely no smoking/vaping anywhere on property or you will incur a $500 penalty. 2. Please list the correct number of guests. Any unreported guests will incur a $100 fee per guest/per day 3. Check out is at 11 a.m. If you need more time, please ask ahead of time. Any late check out fee will result in an additional day rate being added to your bill. 4. All locals must request before booking. 5. Please correctly state the number of pets on your reservation. Any unauthorized pets will result in a $1000 fine per pet per night. 6. We are pet friendly but we have a two pet max. 7. Sorry we don't allow puppies. Dogs must be 6 months or older, well cared for (spayed/neutered, up to date on flea/tick medication and vaccinated), and cleaned up after. 8. Out of respect for our neighbors, please keep outside noise down especially during neighborhood hours of 9 p.m. 9. We have made an attempt to make the house kid friendly, but we cannot guarantee its a prefect setting for young children. If you are concerned about this or have very young babies this may not be the ideal house. 10. We have our house professionally serviced by pest control professional both for mosquito spraying and bugs. However please be aware that this is a rural area, and when the weather changes, or after storm weather you may see a bug. This is not an indication that the place is dirty, but that we indeed live in nature :)

Neighborhood

This is a large comfy house that sits on over 5 acres of breathtaking mountain scenery. Even though the home is out in nature, we are still close to everything fun to do in Gardiner. We do have neighbors nearby so we ask that you respect quiet hours. Our home has stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountains, specifically the Millbrook Ridge Trail. We are also close to local favorites like German styled restaurant Brau Haus, 5 minutes to Wildflower Farms, & much more! NOTE: This house is very much immersed in nature. While rare, there is always the possibility of seeing wildlife- from a raccoon to a bear. Please be careful and cautious while outdoors. Neighbor Note: Near the house is an Airstream camper that is also a rental. We ask that all guests be respectful of quiet hours.

Absolutely beautiful stay in the mountains! Hiking trails close by, also rock climbing, and bike paths where I was able the try out my new bike. Honestly, no one in my family wanted to leave this beautiful house!

Our group had a wonderful stay at Shintaro’s house. The house was easy to find, easily parked several cars, all amenities were very straight forward, a beautiful backyard with a Mountain View, the jacuzzi was clean and easy to operate. The inside of the house is very clean and good looking, the personal touch and aesthetic taste of the owners was very appreciated by us. The bedrooms were clean, bright, and very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and showed caring, the kitchen was well stacked with good appliances, pots, plates, utensils for cooking and gathering as a large group. The pictures do not show all the charm and the spaciousness of Shintaro’s place. We had a large gathering, and yet, it felt very serene and peaceful, not crowded. Shintaro was very accommodating to all our needs. Our group is talking about coming back as all of us liked it so much. Anna

The house was very spacious for our group of 12. The dining room and living room were comfortable for all of us and having the Airstream gave us extra sleeping room. The view out back was nice, especially from the hot tub and the kitchen had everything we needed for our large group. I would definitely recommend!

I had a fantastic stay and would absolutely come back again! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. We had a great time at Shintaro’s place! Great location,close to Minnewaska state park and Whitecliff winery! Great view from the porch plus some small hike near! All bedrooms were clean and spacious,big kitchen with tons of accessories!We had small issue with the hot tub but Joseph fixed it same day! Highly recommended ,would definitely come back!
