Good to know
This is one half of a duplex in a 500 square foot apartment. It has an attached yard that is fenced in. The unit itself had a complete renovation in 2020. Please be aware there is no washer or dryer in the unit. Luckily we are about 1000 feet from a laundromat Note: the bed is a queen and the mattress is a locally made product and less than a year old. Super comfy, for all you picky mattress people :) Other features to note: +NEW: we offer the best cancellation policy in our area. Other Details to Note
-please be aware that this property is one half of a duplex, it is two completely separate apartments, the only thing they share is a wall. This wall is insulated correctly but sound can still travel from one unit to the other (tv sounds, loud dogs etc.). The other unit is also an air bnb so its usually well behaved guests but if there is ever an issue you can always reach out to us! Pool: as mentioned above, we have a relationship with a local country club that has a pool and a gym. The day pass for the pool is NOT included in the booking but can be arranged. A note on bugs: all our properties are renovated spaces, everything inside is new, and we have our properties treated for bugs on a recurring schedule by professionals. That being said, this is the Deep South, we are below sea level, and when temperatures change you may see a bug. Rest assured it’s a rare occurrence but it’s impossible to make a place 100% bug proof. Keeping doors and windows closed properly is a great step one to avoid this, and if you see anything you can call us, but seeing A bug will not be grounds for a refund. My neighborhood is diverse both culturally & economically. If you’re not comfortable with that please book else where.

Neighborhood
My neighborhood is pretty sleepy, kind of place where I wave to the elderly neighbors across the street every day and know almost all my nearby neighbors. Since living here I've had no trouble of any kind, but I would caution all guests to lock your car door just to be on the safe side. Please note: At the risk of sounding impolite, this neighborhood is not a lily white suburb. Its a place of families and old and young and diverse backgrounds mixed together. People walk to work or walk their dog in the park nearby. It’s not a gated community. If you are not comfortable in this type of environment then this listing won't be a good fit. Please also note that this apartment is 1/2 of a duplex. Both halves are air bnbs and are private but you may see other guests parking outside For my light sleepers: one of the windows is towards the road. Usually not a problem but if you’re very sensitive it could be nice to have headphones. Also, there is a train track about a mile away, might hear that at night too. I’m not a heavy sleeper but both of these don’t bother me FYI. Just a heads up ;)
Guest Access
The whole unit will be yours. Pool info: we have a relationship with the hip pool club in our neighborhood. Even though pool access is not included in the cost of the airbnb, you can book it on a day pass basis. We recommend booking in advanced because the club has a limited capacity.

You can park literally out front of the apartment on the grass. I own the whole corner lot so as long as you don't block anyone in you're good!
