Delsey family home steps away from Park Circle

Enjoy your stay in North Charleston in the heart of Park Circle at The Delsey. Built in 1928, The Delsey has been remodeled with modern touches while still preserving the charm. The home is central to everything in Charleston and is only a block away from the main strip in Park Circle. Downtown Charleston is only 20 minutes away. 10 minutes to the Coliseum and the airport. 30 to the beach.

The home has recently undergone an extensive renovation that included many luxury details and sleeps a total of eight. As you enter the home you will notice a Ring doorbell that has been installed to ensure guest safety. There is a keypad on the front door of the home, so you will not have to worry about keeping up with a key. You are welcomed by a large, bright foyer that can also double as a dining area when you utilize the folding leaf table. Here you will find the house manual which includes WiFi information, checkout instructions, appliance instructions, and recommendations from Alli about her favorite spots in Charleston. Be sure to sign the guestbook! The kitchen has completely remodeled with a marble backsplash and countertops. A large island in the kitchen allows guests to gather and dine in the kitchen. The kitchen also features a 32-inch television. You will find everything you need to cook a delicious meal including pots, pans, cooking utensils, and basic spices. Instant oatmeal, grits, and coffee are provided for guests. The Keurig can brew both a coffee pod or traditional grounds, whichever you prefer! Both options are available for guests. The kitchen also features stainless steel appliances, including a brand new LG range and dishwasher. Dishwasher tabs are provided. A washer and dryer are also on-site for guest use along with detergent and dryer sheets so you will not have to return home with dirty clothes. A full-size ironing board and iron are also located in the laundry room, ready for guest use. Restored original hardwood floors are a highlight throughout the home that compliments the historic charm. Modern amenities have been added that include updated ceiling fans, dimmable lighting, a digital thermostat, and a convertible standing desk. Charging stations have also been placed around the home for guest convenience. In the living area, a USB-C and Lightning cable are provided in the charging station to power Apple and Android devices. Ceiling fans are in all of the bedrooms and the living rooms for guest comfort. The home also has a new HVAC system to keep you cool during the notoriously hot South Carolina summers. In the living room, there is a large HD TV with an Amazon recast that offers streaming services and basic cable channels. In-home, high-speed Wifi is also provided. There is a comfy Blu Dot sleeper sofa that can easily fold out into a queen bed to accommodate additional guests. Please let Alli know if you will be needing an additional set of sheets to set up the sleeper sofa. The home has 3 bedrooms that have all brand new mattresses. Two bedrooms have a queen bed and one has two twin beds. The master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with a shower. A convertible standing desk is located in the master. All of the bedrooms have their own closet with hangers and two of them have a dresser for extra storage. The main bathroom is located between the other two bedrooms for easy access. Fresh, clean towels and linens are provided for guests. The home also boasts a private, fenced-in backyard and deck so you can enjoy the outdoors without having to leave the home. You can also relax and have a cocktail or a beer on the large front porch or the private deck of the home. A firepit is also available for guests with no extra charge. One starter log for each night will be provided along with firewood. Make smores and enjoy a drink after a day in Charleston! Park Circle is a lively and bustling neighborhood. The home is across the street from a bar that occasionally hosts live music. Charleston is also a port city so you will also hear trains from time to time. Airplanes can also be heard sometimes since Charleston Internation is close by.

Once home to a Naval shipyard in the past, the neighborhood has revived itself into a diverse hub for food, music, art, and nightlife. There are a variety of local shops and restaurants within easy walking distance of the home. In fact, the closest bar and restaurant, DIG in the Park, is only a one minute walk from the home. Park Circle favorites include The Codfather, Stems & Skins, Holy City Brewery, and EVO. Start your morning off right with a cup of coffee from The Orange Spot or with a breakfast sandwich from the Olde Neighborhood Market. Popular lunch spots include Azul, Sesame Burgers & Beer, and Basil. Enjoy the patio bar and watch sports at Dig in the Park. Park Circle is about a 20-30 minute drive from the nearest beach and 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston. Jospeh’s Airbnb was the ultimate get away for a friend’s reunion! The home was clean, located in a great and walkable spot, and had an expansive backyard for when the weather was nice. I would definitely stay there again!
