🌟 As locals and frequent travelers ourselves, we value transparency above all else. 🏘️ This listing is in a transitional neighborhood in North Charleston. If you've never been to our city, or if you've never been to a place that is racially and economically diverse, you probably won't feel comfortable here. 👋 Another thing to note, all our neighbors are harmless and more or less friendly, the neighbor to our left has a very messy porch with many items outside. We have no control over it but we like to mention it just in case that is a deal breaker for any guest. ❓ If you have any questions about the area, please ask! Our family has lived and worked in North Charleston for 100 years, and we’re happy to help guide you. 🐞 Bugs: We professionally maintain the house, but depending on the season, you might spot a bug or two. This is NOT a sign the house isn’t clean — it’s just part of living in the South! 😊 If you see any bugs, let us know and we’ll take care of it quickly.

House Rules

1. Absolutely no smoking/vaping anywhere on property or you will incur a $500 penalty. 2. Please list the correct number of guests. Any unreported guests will incur a $100 fee per guest per night 3. Check out is at 11 a.m.. If you need more time, please ask ahead of time. Any late check out fee will result in an additional day rate being added to your bill. 4. All locals must request before booking. 5. Please correctly state the number of pets on your reservation. Any unauthorized pets will result in a $500 fine per pet per night. 6. We are pet friendly but we have a two pet max unless otherwise agreed. 7. Sorry we don't allow puppies. Dogs must be 6 months or older, well cared for (spayed/neutered, up to date on flea/tick medication and vaccinated), and cleaned up after. 8. Out of respect for our neighbors, please keep outside noise down especially during neighborhood hours of 9 p.m. 9. We have made an attempt to make the house kid friendly, but we cannot guarantee it's a perfect setting for young children. If you are concerned about this or have very young babies this may not be the ideal house. 10. We have our house professionally serviced by pest control professional both for mosquito spraying and bugs. However please be aware that this is the south, and when the weather changes, or after storm weather you may see a bug. This is not an indication that the place is dirty, but that we indeed live in a swampy below sea level city :) 10. Please be aware that our neighbor next door has a very messy crowded porch. They are nice people and it wont affect your stay its just a little unsightly. We like to mention it out of a desire to be as transparent as possible.

Our stay was great! The space is great and very easy access to downtown Charleston with the quietness of a neighborhood. Would highly recommend. Place is exactly as described, just read the description to decide if that will work for you but the neighborhood is perfectly fine and we felt safe. That said the Internet was great to work remotely and the place itself is amazing and thoughtfully on theme! 5/5 would visit again!
