Good to know

This home was built by hand (seriously) by father and son team Roger and Jon Hart. They have put their love and attention to detail into every part of the house. Whether its the gorgeous french style exterior or the comfortable interior, you will love this home. The property has the following beds +king bed +queen bed +pull out couch (queen bed) +in the second bedroom, there is actually a chair that pulls out into a twin bed! Charleston Tea Plantation - 2.8 miles, 7 minutes Angel Oak Tree - 6.3 miles, 12 minutes Folly Beach - 21.7 miles, 36 minutes Rockville- 6.7 miles or 12 minutes Downtown Charleston - 17 miles or 30 minutes

Other Details to Note

Even though this home is gorgeous and all things considered not that far from the city, this is still kind of a remote area. The following things should be noted: 1. Once you are out here, cell service is TERRIBLE. We have strong and reliable wifi for this reason, but just know that you'll need it. 2. The property yourself is very quiet and peaceful, but there can be some noise from the road and that road can have lots of traffic. Please keep a keen eye on young kids and pets. 3. The backyard is huge but is currently not fenced, so once again keep an eye on young kids. 4. We make every effort to make sure your stay is bug and mosquito free, but please be mindful that the lowcountry was built on swamp so if you see a bug it is NOT an indication of cleanliness.

House Rules

1. Absolutely no smoking/vaping anywhere on property or you will incur a $500 penalty. 2. please list the correct number of guests. Any unreported guests will incur a $100 fee per guest/per day 3. check out is at 11 a.m.. If you need more time, please ask ahead of time. Any late check out fee will result in an additional day rate being added to your bill. 4. All locals must request before booking. 5. We do not allow pets at this time. Please be aware that any pet on the property will incur a $500 penalty. 6. Out of respect for our neighbors, please keep outside noise down especially during neighborhood hours of 9 p.m. 7. We have made an attempt to make the house kid friendly, but we cannot guarantee its a prefect setting for young children. If you are concerned about this or have very young babies this may not be the ideal house. 8. We have our house professionally serviced by pest control professional both for mosquito spraying and bugs. However please be aware that this is the south, and when the weather changes, or after storm weather you may see a bug. This is not an indication that the place is dirty, but that we indeed live in a warm climate :)

Absolutely loved our stay. Home was beautiful and peaceful. Allowed myself and my family to have room to spread out when we wanted to but also allowed us to spend quality time together too. Truly felt at home.

The Hart Estate felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed and more. House was very clean and well maintained. Host was very prompt and responsive and even gave us some local recommendations. We would definitely stay again if we return to the are.

Loved the peaceful setting, clean and well-stocked house, responsiveness of the hosts. A special nearby gem is Hum's Grocery. Our hosts went above and beyond in preparing the home to accommodate my severe allergies and when we could not change the spring water dispenser, one of them came out to do it by late afternoon--thank you! We'll definitely return and tell our friends about this lovely property.

Great weekend getaway with side trips to Charleston and Folly Beach. We really loved the tranquil setting away from everything but with easy access to shopping, restaurants and activities when we wanted it!
