Welcome to The D'alhana~a mix of cottage and studio. Our property is considered a "back house" having all the fixins. Experience the beauty and history of Charleston in comfort! This place is located in a historic neighborhood right near all the happenings of downtown Charleston. While many places are walkable, you might be best driving or Ubering to some destinations. This is a shared property but the D'alhana cottage is a fully separate unit. It's located in the back house from our front house where we live with our four kiddos. We share a driveway. You will see us but we keep to ourselves. We are real friendly! Note: This charming back-house apartment is located behind a primary residence in downtown Charleston. As part of the property’s character, the owners keep a small flock of chickens on-site, and there is also a friendly dog that may roam the shared outdoor areas. While these animals do not access the apartment itself, guests who are sensitive to animals, noise, or shared outdoor spaces may wish to consider this when booking.

House Rules

1. Absolutely NO smoking/vaping anywhere on property or you will incur a $500 penalty. 2. Please list the correct number of guests. Any unreported guests will incur a $100 fee per guest per night. 3. Check out is at 11 a.m.. If you need more time, please ask ahead of time. Any late check out fee will result in an additional day rate being added to your bill. 4. All locals must request before booking. 5. This is a pet fee free property. 6. Any unauthorized pets will incur a $200 fee. 7. Out of respect for our neighbors, please keep outside noise down especially during neighborhood hours of 11pm - 7am. 8. We have our house professionally serviced by pest control professional both for mosquito spraying and bugs. However please be aware that this is the south, and when the weather changes, or after storm weather you may see a bug. This is not an indication that the place is dirty, but that we indeed live in a swampy below sea level city :)

Neighborhood

We have plenty in our neighborhood. We have an awesome surfer coffee shop around the block, Huriyali. That will get you going to see what’s out there. Lots of restaurants, an art store, a ‘corner store’- that’s Charleston talk for convenient store located across the street from the main house. It’s very convenient if you're in a pinch. Hampton Park is a piece of history two blocks north. That is a must see in my opinion and a beautiful walk.

Guest Access

We have a Philip Simons historic iron fence. It means a whole lot to the City of Charleston! You will be entering in and out those driveway gates for your stay, touching history. Pretty cool!

Find us

We provide one parking spot for guests in our shared driveway. Parking is free in our neighborhood. But listen- y'all read the signs around this town cause they will getcha!
